KEEP MOVING
100 minutes every week of cardio, sound hard? Break it up into 5 -10min sessions you’ll be surprised
FAT
Cut down on FAT especially animal fat, fat is the stuff that makes us fat!!
JUNK FOOD
Is okay …. In moderation, a take-away once a week is okay, but every-day is not.
LIFT WEIGHTS
To keep your metabolic rate fast which just means you burn more fat when you are sitting down watching TV. Also to keep you muscles and bones strong, say no to osteoporosis!
FUEL TO EXERCISE
Before you work-out always eat some carbohydrates (bread/pasta/rice/fruit) at least one hour before you train. This will give you energy and help you give the session your best effort
RED MEAT
Eat 3 palm-size pieces of lean red meat every week , for iron and vitamin B.
PROCESSED FOOD
Eat less processed food. Aim to have your food look like it has just come out of the ground. You will be eating less fat more fibre and getting lots of good vitamins, you’ll have more energy and less chance of disease!
ALCOHOL
If you drink and eat at the same time your body will burn off the alcohol and store the fat !!
COFFEE
Up to 3 cups of coffee daily actually assists with fat loss ….. but in moderation don’t go over board on the coffee.
SPICY FOODS
Speed up your metabolism with adding some chili, curry paprika etc.. to your food.
BREAKFAST
NEVER skip breakfast it speeds up your metabolism, increases your performance and helps control your weight. (if you struggle with this even an Up & Go or a smoothie is okay)
WATER
Drink 2 litres at least a day – keep hydrated!!
FAT
To Stick to a low fat diet read the label on the back of the packet choose foods that have less than 10 grams of fat for each 100 grams of the product
CARBOHYDRATES
Carbs are not bad they will not make you put on weight they will not make you fat. Your body cannot physically burn fat without carbs and your brain will not function without carbs, without carbs your body will not function. However everything in moderation too much of anything is bad!
